Robert C. Williams Paper Museum The Robert C. Williams Museum of Papermaking collects, preserves, and interprets the past, present,

Many rare artifacts traveled with the Institute of Paper, Science, and Technology from Appleton, WI, to Atlanta, GA, and are now part of a permanent collection tracing the fascinating history of papermaking from its earliest antecedents to the advanced technology of today -- from ancient Sumerian cuneiform tablets to the exquisite chiaroscuro watermarked papers still made in Fabriano, a well-known papermaking center in the Marches region of Italy. The museum's critically acclaimed changing exhibition gallery showcases various interpretations and uses of paper as a viable and diverse medium by hosting exhibitions by contemporary artists working in the allied fields of paper, printmaking, and book arts.

In two weeks, join artist Claude-Gerard for a hands-on workshop, in which we’ll explore techniques for creating depth, dimension, texture, and movement, transforming flat paper into a beautiful three-dimensional piece.

All materials and guidance are provided, and attendees will leave with a finished paper sculpture that’s uniquely theirs.
