NRC Magazine (nrc.nl) tells the story of how OSCAM grew into the open space it is today

NRC also highlights Materialising Memories by Ghanaian designer Bevan Agyemang (TSAU) our opening exhibition during Amsterdam Fashion Week. After three years of conversations with OSCAM, Bevan has woven the stories of our community in Amsterdam Southeast into this special exhibition.

From six weeks to almost nine years, one thing remains unchanged: OSCAM belongs in Amsterdam Southeast. Art lives not only in museums, but also in the streets, music, fashion and stories of our community.

Join us for the opening of Materialising Memories tonight and experience the work first-hand. Tickets through the link in our bio.

Many thanks to NRC Magazine and Nathalie Wouters for telling our story.

OSCAM x BURO Stedelijk: Curate the Moment

We’re excited to announce Curate the Moment, a new three-year collaboration between OSCAM and BURO Stedelijk.

Through the years, OSCAM and BURO Stedelijk have both created space for emerging voices, new perspectives and experimentation within the cultural field. Together, we’re building on that shared commitment by creating a platform for OSCAM alumni to develop and test their freshest curatorial ideas.

Curate the Moment offers space to test ideas, bring people together and experiment with new formats. For one evening, the alumni will take the floor, claim the night and bring their curatorial vision into the museum.

For the first edition, an OSCAM alumnus is curating a Thursday Night at BURO Stedelijk on 19 November 2026. The curator and program for the first edition will be announced soon. Mark your calendars. We’ll see you at BURO Stedelijk on November 19.

For our first edition, the curating alumnus was carefully selected by our jury: Brian Elstak (BƦIΔΠ ΣĿƧ†ΛK), Jo-Lene Ong (Jo-Lene Ong) and Anouk van Amsterdam (.eva) from BURO Stedelijk.
