Olamide Ogunade’s paintings offer images that seem to emerge from the past. The image thus becomes a form of survival, and the echo of memory is amplified by the artist’s use of bubbles scattered across the canvas: ‘each bubble reflects a memory, a moment of stillness amidst the chaos of life’

Alex Pinna’s sculptures introduce a more essential and universal dimension. The figures presented by the artist seem to transcend the contingent, approaching the nature of an archetype. They are silent presences, at once recognizable and enigmatic, in which the particular gives way to the essential. Here, the ‘freeze frame’ becomes a suspension of form: the body no longer tells an individual story but seems to harbor something primordial, a deeper, almost collective memory.

saracenoArtgallery is pleased to present the Group Show ‘Fermo immagine’ by Olamide Ogunade Olamide Ogunade Olisco, Peppe Perone e Alex Pinna Alex Pinna, on Tuesday October 6th at 6pm

Each of the three artists, working in their own distinctive style, constructs a sort of atlas of the istant, all converging on the same question: what does it mean to freeze time? Olamide Ogunade does so through memory, holding onto what has been; Alex Pinna through the archetype, seeking what endures beyond individual time, Peppe Perone through transience, revealing that every attempt to fix reality contains its opposite: transformation.

We are excited to welcome Olamide Ogunade, who will be joining our upcoming Group show this October.

Born in 1996 Olamide Ogunade studied General Art at Yaba College of Technology where he later earned a Higher National Diploma in Painting with distinction. He lives and works in Lagos (Nigeria).

His figurative works explore themes related to African society. A distintive element if his practice is the use of charcoal primarily for the faces (the rendering of skin tones is a central aspect to his artistic research and requires meticulous attention to detail) combined with a vibrant colour palette for the other elements.

Despite his young age, Olamide has already established an international profile with his work represented by numerous galleries abroad and featured in prestigious international art fairs.

At saracenoArtgallery we believe contemporary art is a conversation between different cultures, experiences and way of seeing.

This October that conversation will continue with Olamide Ogunade as part of a Group Show.

A journey through material and color ensuring the work’s realism.

The Ceribelli’s practice continues to revolve around the figure of the soldier, here reinterpreted through the medium of ceramics.

The material’s inherent imperfections envelop the figure, transforming it into a dynamic presence far removed from any sense of stasis.

Born in Chile, the artist reinterprets the archetypical form of the totem, transforming it into a symbol of elevation and inner exploration. Its verticality becomes a metaphor for a constant aspiration toward the divine, establishing a dialogue between the earthly and the spiritual.
Each element of the totem holds its own narrative while contributing to a larger, collective story, like the notes of a musical score that gradually unfolds into a score of the soul.
The sequence of vibrant color fields creates a visual rhythm that guides the viewer through a range of emotions, memories and states of mind.

Discover two installation views of ‘Archeologie del domani’.

The exhibition takes its title from Ottavio Celestino’s works dedicated to mythological themes, which serve as the common thread establishing a dialogue with the other artists

The Minotaur, the tragic heroes, the hybrid deities became images of the contemporary human condition, suspended between solitude and desire for transcendence, between vulnerability and heroic tension

The exhibition runs till September 12
