RHODES is hiring.

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Head of Sales to join our London gallery on a fixed 12-month maternity cover contract from 1 September 2026.

This is a senior, client-facing role with responsibility for leading sales across our artist exhibitions, limited-edition print releases, private sales, commissions and art fair activity.

The role would suit someone with several years’ experience in an art gallery, auction house or wider art-market sales environment. Candidates with relevant high-end luxury sales experience will also be considered, particularly where they can demonstrate experience managing high-value client relationships and delivering against commercial targets.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior commercial role within a growing contemporary gallery, with exposure to UK and international art fairs, artist exhibitions, private sales as part of a close-knit gallery team.

Contract: Fixed-term, approx. 12 months, with potential extension
Hours: Full-time
Start date: 1 September 2026

RHODES is excited to introduce Lily Ramírez, a Los Angeles-based painter whose work explores abstraction through the shifting conditions of landscape, memory and movement.

Ramírez draws upon the shifting visual and psychological terrain of Southern California, where coastline, freeways, desert edges and residential sprawl converge. Her paintings operate within this expanded field of geography, translating lived observation into layered and spatially unsettled abstract works.

Ramírez will be making her RHODES debut this June as part of a two-person abstracts show As We Read alongside Ellie Walker. Register your interest to be the first to receive information on available works.

In the studio with Peter Doyle ahead of his new solo exhibition ‘We’ll Water’ opening Thursday 7th May 6-8pm, following on from his incredible sell-out RHODES debut in 2025.

Doyle’s paintings are grounded in looking. They begin from moments encountered rather than staged narratives; interiors, figures in shared spaces, fragments of daily life that are held just long enough to be noticed before they pass. Within the works, people appear together without necessarily forming clear relationships. Proximity is present, but the meaning between figures remains open and unresolved. As Doyle has noted, “I like to keep things quite open - I don’t want to over-explain the work,” a position that reflects the way his paintings resist closure. Images are not directed towards fixed interpretations but allowed to remain in a state of uncertainty.

Exhibition continues until 6th June.
