Glass, once fluid under intense heat, is arrested at the moment of cooling. Stable in appearance, it retains the capacity for further change. As light moves across its surface — producing reflections, refractions, shifts — it brings historical objects into a renewed and unstable presence. For Qi Zhuo, this is the material logic of the crack itself.
