UNVEILS ‘ANCIENT FEELINGS’ IN SYDNEY ✨

Unveiled this week at , Thomas J Price’s monumental bronze sculpture Ancient Feelings stands powerfully on the Tallawoladah Lawn overlooking Sydney Harbour.

Commissioned by the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia for the Neil Balnaves Tallawoladah Lawn Commission, the work continues Price’s practice of amplifying Black presence in public space, creating striking monuments that challenge traditional ideas of who is memorialized.

John Lyons is 92 and still out-creating all of us 😅🙌🏽🔥 A true OG of Caribbean creativity, John Lyons is a Trinidadian-British painter, poet, and cook whose work bursts with colour, culture, and joy. His art draws from Trinidadian carnival, folklore, and a lifetime of curiosity , blending brushstrokes with storytelling, rhythm, and serious flavour.

We get a glimpse inside his world , studio, shed, kitchen and all - and it’s nothing short of magical.

Amazing work by - Okoye channels unspoken emotions through oil and charcoal, using texture and expression to give voice to the voiceless. Trained in realism, his work captures the weight of feeling in every gesture. From Mitochondria to Sotheby’s, his rise is one to watch. 🔥🙌🏽

Meet - Aliyah Sidqe’s art is a powerful blend of personal truth and collective healing. A Black woman, mother, and cancer survivor, she uses her murals to spotlight marginalised voices and build community through shared stories. Her work invites empathy, uplifts, and sparks connection, one brushstroke at a time!
