AWITA is a non-profit networking group that aims to advance the careers of women in the visual arts.

The Association of Women in the Arts is a networking association dedicated to women who work in the visual arts. Founded in London, we foster business links within the arts community, hosting informative discussions and providing a forum for women to connect with other like-minded professionals. We actively support the creation of exciting new collaborations and provide networking and mentoring op

portunities for those looking to develop their careers and/or businesses. Comprised of individuals with a minimum of 5 years working in the professional arts field, the association is open to gallerists, art advisors, educationalists, museum and fair directors, auctioneers, artists, curators and collectors.

Spotlighting Mazzy-Mae Green (Mazzy-Mae Green), Programme Director at Park Royal Design District (Park Royal Design District) and founding director of Sherbet Green (Sherbet Green). A curator working across interdisciplinary, sculptural and installation-based practice, her work focuses on supporting early-career and alternative voices through site-responsive and collaborative projects. She is currently leading the inaugural edition of Manufactory, a new interdisciplinary festival for art, design and culture taking place September 11–12, 2026, in Park Royal, London.

10 Posters for 10 Years is a limited-edition artist poster series created to mark Hospital Rooms’ 10th anniversary.

Each poster costs £100, with proceeds funding future Hospital Rooms projects, and is produced as a time-limited, print-to-order edition.

The second launch of the series is live til 13 September 2026.

AWITA has partnered with Hospital Rooms for an event tomorrow afternoon at Victoria Miro discussing how we commission, collaborate and lead with care (over tea and cake).

Spotlighting Jo Craven (), a valued AWITA member who recently established her practice as an independent consultant and advisor following 30 years working across the cultural sector. Beginning as an editor and journalist at Vogue, Porter and the FT, she went on to lead programming at Frieze Academy, later moving into content strategy at the Serpentine and global communications at Sutton. This breadth of experience informs the strategic communications work she now develops for a select group of clients.

Few people have done more to change the geography of the art world than Kiran Nadar and NS.

It was a privilege to celebrate two formidable women whose vision, philanthropy and leadership have transformed the cultural landscape. Through Kiran Nadar Museum of Art and the Dhaka Art Summit Samdani Art Foundation, they have helped shift South Asian art from the periphery to the centre of the global conversation.

Earlier this year, AWITA was proud to honour them as two of our 25 Cultural Leaders in Venice.

In conversation with Deepanjana Klein, the discussion looked not only at what they have already achieved, but at what comes next. Asked what success looks like ten years from now, both shared a vision of extraordinary ambition. Once realised, it won't simply shape South Asia; it has the potential to reshape the global cultural landscape.

The conversation was beautifully hosted at christies. We encourage everyone to visit ‘The Meeting Ground: Scenes from the KNMA Collection’ at Christie's, on view until 21st August.

Christie’s Lates is back on Thursday 30 July from 6pm – 9pm, with an evening dedicated to the exhibition. Free and open to all.
