Prunella Clough (1919–1999) was a British painter and printmaker, known for her distinctive modernist approach to everyday objects and industrial landscapes. Her work often focused on overlooked subjects such as machinery, fishing boats, containers and urban structures, transforming them through subtle colour, texture and abstract forms. Clough developed a quiet, atmospheric style that combined observation with abstraction, and she is regarded as an important figure in post-war British art.

All of these pieces will be featured in the next Eclectic Eye exhibition in November. We only ever exhibit things that we truly love. If they don’t sell, we’re more than happy to keep them and continue to enjoy them; if they do walk out the door to their next custodian, we know we’ll miss them. For us, it’s all about finding and sharing pieces that we genuinely love.
