Thank you Alan for your brilliant photos and kind words.

" We had an amazing time at the museum and spent a few hours going through all the buildings looking at the collection.

There’s a decent amount to see and there are rides on old army transports ( military lorry rides ) that take you around the coast and show you all the airfields and costal defences.

There is a large free carpark that’s had a good amount of disabled spaces. And they have a decent little gift shop with decent selection and affordable prices."

Thank you so much Trev, we are absolutely thrilled you loved your recent visit to Muckleburgh and tank drive experience.

"Just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the team at the Muckleburgh military collection especially Andy (Andrew) for making my tank experience one of the best moments in my life so far.

Andy was such a great chap, friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to make my tank experience a great memory... answering the groups questions, making me feel comfortable with clear instructions on the experience day and helping us with videos and pictures to make sure we remembered all the day.

These places like the Muckleburgh collection must keep going as a valuable reminder of our past and make us aware of whats being used on the frontlines of even modern day wars now so please show your support and visit this collection whenever you can, admission prices are very very reasonable in this day and age with lots of things to do, see and read about. Also worth going to the coast right next door afterwards to make a really full day of fun."

Recently The Muckleburgh Military Collection welcomed a very exciting arrival!

This incredibly rare German Sturmgeschütz III Ausführung G (StuG III Ausf. G) is currently on loan to us and on temporary display.

The StuG III was a self-propelled assault gun manufactured by Germany during World War II. Built on a slightly modified Panzer III chassis, it replaced the traditional rotating turret with a fixed superstructure to accommodate a more powerful gun.

Originally designed as a mobile assault gun to support infantry, the StuG was continually upgraded over time and heavily used in successful combat. Thanks to its low profile, the StuG III was exceptionally easy to conceal and ambush from cover.

After the war, abandoned StuGs remained across Europe in nations such as Czechoslovakia, France, Norway, and Yugoslavia. Originally operated by a four-person crew; commander, driver, loader, and gunner.
