Look at these absolutely stunning Moon Jars by Philip Wilks currently exhibited at Sanders and Christie.

Moon Jar is a type of traditional Korean white porcelain which was made during the Joseon dynasty (1392-1910). They consist of two hemispherical halves thrown separately and then joined in the middle. They have a wider mouth than the diameter of the bottom making it feel like the jar is floating in air.

This collection features Philip’s signature crackle glaze and an oyster shell glaze inside with a sea urchin relief on the rim.

The new collection of paintings by Michael Sanders is now on the website and will be available at the gallery this Saturday for the opening day of our Summer Exhibition.

Michael is delighted to present his series of marsh and seascapes...
“Lately, I have found myself drawn to the marshes of North Norfolk… Salthouse, Cley and environs. The birdlife we’re fortunate to have in this part of the world has found itself onto my canvas set against the first and last light of the day.”
