✨ Contemporary Closure - exhibition on until the 6th of June!

What makes closure contemporary? When it’s put together by a motley crew of contemporary art students, of course! Join us, Edinburgh College’s HND year 1 Contemporary Art Practice students for our end-of-year exhibition, where we’ll celebrate with a party, and a showcase of the recent work we’ve accomplished.

Opening night was on the 31st of May but you can still catch the exhibition until the 6th of June, 2pm - 7pm at Granton:hub!

[Artist takeover ] In August 2023, I was selected by to be the next artist in residence at in Edinburgh. They gave me access to a shared studio space from early September to early November, with the possibility to use a room where I could work on large scale ink drawings and paintings.

[Artist takeover ] My personal zines are like drawn diaries (it is how I call them). I use Indian ink and other materials like coloured pencils, pastels and paint to express my emotions on a daily basis. I publish them in the form of small A6 zines with the hope that my drawings and texts will resonate with the reader. I try to create a form of emotional connection with myself but also with others, trying to make sense of the strange post-pandemic world where we live in. In Yurayura #1 and Edinburgh Tokyo Diaries we explore our feelings, sensations and emotions, as well as our lives in Edinburgh.
