Travelling Gallery is heading down to Ayrshire tomorrow morning, for the start of three weeks of venues in North, East and South Ayrshire. We'll be starting in Saltcoats at St Matthews Academy, then visiting Harbour Arts Centre on Wed 25th and Kilbirnie Library on Thursday 26th Sept North Ayrshire Libraries, before we head over to Kilmarnock, Cumnock and Ayr in the next few weeks. All venue details are on our website as usual.

Exciting news for fans of mobile cultural venues! The Screen Machine, Scotland's mobile cinema, is making a rare visit to Edinburgh today, so if you're in town and have always wanted to visit then now is your chance. The visit is part of Screen Machine's fundraising campaign for a new mobile cinema - there are full details and links to tickets on their website:

We're very excited about our season 3 exhibition, 'Repair Cafe' by Helen McCrorie, which we're launching next week at Art Walk Porty . You can come and visit us at Portobello High Street (near the Town Hall), Edinburgh on Fri 13th Sept between 10am and 4pm, then we'll be heading off to venues in Ayrshire, Inverclyde, Dumfries and Galloway and Dundee until November. Rachel McBrinn and Alison Scott are currently artists in residence at St Andrews Botanical Gardens, and will be exhibiting work developed from the residency in Travelling Gallery in 2025. They're holding a second Sharing Event at St Andrews Botanic Gardens on Sat 14 Sept, including a screening of their film 'Congenial Soils and favourable situations', plus a Q&A which will include discussion of their current project. We've travelled a bit further north into the Scottish Borders today, to start our three day visit to Kelso with Live Borders. We'll be parked in the square, just outside Kelso Town Hall today, Thurs 25th and Fri 26th July, open 10am to 4pm and everyone is welcome to come and visit. Thanks very much to Scottish Borders Council for help with parking for the gallery.
