Here's our final from Andy, TG Driver: “Asking me to choose a favourite memory from the last tour, or from any tour, is no easy task. As the Driver I am with the TG Bus at every venue and get to meet folk from all over Scotland and sometimes beyond. However, I must confess to cherishing one particular memory which has less to do with the venue as one particular visitor I met there. It was the last day of our Autumn 2023 Tour and we were set up at Perth Theatre and Concert Hall . The Travelling Gallery was only one of many attractions that day as there was a big event in the concert hall called, “Ticket To Ride”, which featured discussions around sustainable travel with invited experts and activists. There was an orchestra performance, an exhibition of public-transport-themed creative artworks and banners, a film screening and more (that’s us!). The highlight for me was meeting artist Ellie Harrison who wrote, “Bus Regulation – The Musical”. A fantastic piece of agitprop theatre that addresses public transport provision wherever it is performed. I previously saw it at Platform Glasgow in Easterhouse, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.”

Jo, TG Learning and Engagement Officer, has been looking back at 2023: "“In November, TG’s exhibition "Take Care", was unusually requested to park in the grounds of a derelict Lockerbie school; but what a lovely enthusiastic welcome!
Those closely involved with Lockerbie Old School offered support all day; a nearby resident even offering chairs for lengthier chats; the themes of care becoming a catalyst for broader conversations across generations.
Local secondary groups and staff were delighted to squeeze in visits and any public who popped inside seemed to know someone else already there which created a positive feeling of wide community interest and connections and made for great debates around the impact of art”.
Thanks very much to The Stove Network, for organising our visit to Lockerbie.
