The Worshipful Company is on a 3 day tour of Derbyshire and the station was their first stop. After some refreshments, they received a very interesting talk about the revolution from the Pentrich Revolution Group before having a ceremony outside. They then walked to nearby All Saints Church to view the Revolution Quilt and laying a wreath. Quite a number of the revolutionaries were Framework Knitters.

Evening all...a quick announcement about a special event and arrangements between 1145 and 1315 this Friday at the station.

At 1200 the Worshipful Company of Knitters are meeting at the station to commemorate links with the Pentrich and South Wingfield Revolution. They are going to be met by the Lord Lieutenant of Derbyshire and the event is also going to be filmed by the BBC. The event will finish at 1300.

We need volunteers to work in the tearoom, outdoor woodland/maintenance, tour guiding, model railway and events. If you would like to join our team, please message email [email protected]
