Spanning more than forty years, the presentation brings together photographs created between November 1994 and February 2026, across international commissions and personal projects. Many of these works are being shown publicly for the first time, offering a rare and expansive view into Zimmermann’s practice.
Among his most renowned series are BRAND WAND (Steidl, 2014) and Hufelandstrasse 1055 Berlin (Steidl, 2017). Born in Dresden in 1955, Zimmermann studied under Arno Fischer in Leipzig and was a founding member of the OSTKREUZ agency. His work has been published internationally, including in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The New Yorker. He is a member of the Berlin Academy of Arts and the German Society for Photography.
