David Zink Yi’s THREE THOUSAND SONGS vinyl is available at our gallery store and online.

The project takes its point of departure from a bird known for having one of the largest vocal repertoires in the avian world, an archive built through imitation as a form of renewal. It explores how sounds, gestures, and expressions borrowed from our surroundings can be reconfigured to shape our own forms of expression. Through improvisation, repetition, and transformation, Zink Yi investigates the blurred boundaries between imitation and originality, questioning conventional ideas of authorship and a singular origin.

Monira Al Qadiri’s publication EMPIRE DYE is available at our gallery store and online.

Al Qadiri combines the social upheavals of the last 30 years with the effects of the oil industry and belief systems, drawing on traditional elements from myth and history. By creating symbolic connections between the past and present, such as glass as a ghostly trace of drilling machines in the desert, she speculates on possible futures. The publication offers an insight into Al Qadiri’s work of the past years.

Chen’s practice explores the motif of the horse through point drawings that function as a form of diary, with each work recording events from her private life.
