Bird watching update.

We had a great, if slightly shortened due to weather, birdwatching walk at Blue Sea Beach today. Saw common terns, cormorants, red-winged blackbirds, tree swallows and more.

Thanks for leading, Sandye Moores! Watch for FB notice of future Sunday birdwatching events organized by the Wellness Through Wilderness initiative of the Malagash Area Heritage Association.

With thanks to the Community Health Board, which funds the initiative.

Birdwatching at Blue Sea Beach parking lot this Sunday, June 21, 9-11am.

Weather permitting! Lots of new and old birdie-friend surprises in store--we can thank the tree swallows for eating our Malagash mosquitoes, and we might spot a bittern, a cormorant...who knows?

BYO: binoculars, bug spray, sun hat, water.

Check here early Sunday to confirm it’s happening, just in case we get rained out.
