Happy Thursday everyone! Another week is flying by! Someone please slow it down.
The gallery is full of colour and imagination with the spectacular work of Sydney Blum. If you haven’t been in to see it yet, please make the time. It’s spectacular.
Artisan Alley has some new work in from new artists too. It’s constantly changing with new artists and new work. Sally Davies from Annapolis Royal has added her botanical art to our shelves. And they are beautiful. Lee Phillips of Mud Water Studio, a talented potter from Malagash has many wonderful and whimsical pieces that I can’t keep on the shelves for long. Ashley Anne Clark from Cape Breton, has a book and wood block creations that parents and grandparents alike can’t keep their hands off. Tara Gillis, a talented painter, can be found at the farmers market every Saturday and on our gallery walls. Pugwash, New Glasgow, Pictou, Wallace, Antigonish, Truro, Dartmouth and Tatamagouche are represented on the walls and shelves. And many other places in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Come see what talent is right here in your neighbourhood.
We look forward to seeing you soon.

Welcome to Saturday! Market Square is buzzing this morning. This really is the place to be on Saturday mornings. Get up and get going. You are missing out!
Sydney Blum’s exhibit, 2D3D, is a show you don’t want to miss. Colourful, whimsical and creative. And she lives right here in Tatamagouche!
Our art table has been a popular place this summer. Kids and bigger kids have been enjoying exploring their creativity. And we love it. Stop by for an art therapy session. It’s free and you’ll leave feeling great.
Artisan Alley is full of great pieces of art made right here in Nova Scotia. Such a creative place to live. We are your place to find that special gift.

Thursday has arrived already and the weekend is just around the corner. Time flies! It’s been a little quieter (is that a word) around here this week. Other than the drama camp kids in the theatre. There are some very interesting noises coming from them. Lots of laughing and screaming. They will be presenting a show on Saturday at 2pm that they have been preparing all week. Stop by and see what Louna, our fearless camp leader, has been up to all week with them.
While you are here, check out our latest gallery show , 2D/3D by Sydney Blum, a famous Tatamagouche resident. The colours, shapes and creativity will amaze. And don’t forget to ask about her lost art story while you are here. It’s crazy! Her show runs until September 6th.
James Mullinger, with his Canadian Comedian show, has been labelled Britain’s greatest gift to Canadian comedy. And all those sold out shows would be proof. He will be in our lovely theatre on Saturday August 22nd at 7pm. There are a limited number of tickets left so get yourself online or on the phone or in to the gallery to get yours reserved for a fun night out.
And just a reminder about all of the amazing local artists we have featured in Artisan Alley. We have so many beautiful pieces made in Nova Scotia and many made right here in Tatamagouche and surrounding area. There is so much talent in this lovely community. If you are looking for a gift for yourself or a loved one, we have lots to choose from. Stop by this weekend for a look.

And just as I promised earlier, Sydney Blum will be in the gallery tomorrow, August 11th, at 1pm for a meet and greet. This would be a great time to come to the gallery to meet and ask questions of the creator while seeing her latest show 2D/3D.
Grab a friend and spend some time in one of Tatamagouche's beautiful galleries. And maybe take a walk to the other beautiful gallery in this great little village, The Fraser. Great shows happening there as well. A perfect day!

Somehow it is Monday again. What a crazy August it has been so far! We have had Sydney Blum's 2D3D show opening, a Modern Mindreaders show, the Local Prosperity conference and Terra Spencer and Kim Dunn dazzled this past Saturday night. And in between all of that, the Anne of Green Gables rehearsals have been happening. Today Drama camp started. And it's only the 10th! I need to sit down a minute.
We are the place to be clearly. And if you haven't made it here recently, you will want to come by and see Sydney Blum's beautiful exhibit. The colours, shapes and creativity will amaze. Did you know she lives right here in Tatamagouche? She has her work all over the world. And she has done everything! Computers, studied pattern making, designed clothes houses and furniture, taught sculpture and drawing, achieved several degrees and so much more! Be sure to stop by the gallery and check out this amazing show. Sydney herself may be stopping by for a meet and greet in the next few weeks. I will keep you posted on the date and time for that event.
Happy Monday. We hope to see you soon!
