Welcome to the weekend everyone! It’s Friday and you know what that means. Dance recital. Yes, dance recital here at The Grace tonight at 5pm and 6:30 and Saturday at 6:30 DanceDanceDance Wallace will be presenting “An African Adventure” by the youngest dancers and “Love 2026” presented by the senior dancers. Free admission, donations gratefully accepted.
Our landscape quilt show by Catherine Vardy is here to see and it’s gorgeous. So detailed and colourful. And there are some hidden things in the stitching. Come by and see if you can spot the dragonfly.
I’ve also taken a walk through Artisan Alley this week and noticed a reoccurring theme. Birds. They are everywhere! In many forms. And I love them all. Check them out and let me know your favourite one.

Wow! That was a great opening day for the Grain Elevator in Creamery Square! The farmers market, the museum and The Grace were buzzing with activity too. Thanks to all who wandered over and chatted about the art and life in general. I love meeting people and hearing your stories.
And we sent so many of our beautiful local art pieces to good homes! We are here tomorrow too. So stop by on your travels.

Happy Friday everyone! We are getting ready for a busy weekend here in Creamery Square. Tomorrow is market day, as it always is on Saturday. But, the Grain Elevator opens tomorrow which means even more reasons to get down to the square and see the sights. Our current show, Sensing Place by Catherine Vardy, is up and ready for you to see. The quilts are beautiful. A must see!
We also have plenty of other reasons to come in. Your friends and neighbours are very talented and we have proof. Our walls are covered with examples of the truly talented people of this area.
Job postings are still up for 2 positions at the gallery and the farmers market. Get your applications in soon.
Drama Camp at the Grace is happening again this summer. Spaces are limited so get your applications filled out and handed in ASAP. We have forms in the gallery to fill out as well as printable ones on our webpage.
Auditions for Anne of Green Gables start June 5th. Check the schedule below and come find your kindred spirits onstage at the Grace.
And last but not least, Off The Rock’s, a Great Big Sea tribute band, will be here June 4th. This promises to be a toe tapping good time. You can’t be unhappy when you listen to this kind of music. Get your tickets online or from the box office.

We are well into our 2026 season at the gallery and enjoying all the great talents that adorn our walls and shelves in the Ice House Gallery and Artisan Alley. But it's time to start planning ahead for our 2027 season. And for that to happen we need more artists looking to get their work out into the world. We are also looking for submissions for our Holiday Art Show that takes place in November and December of this year, 2026. I know it seems early to be talking Christmas but as we all know it comes up fast. And time is needed to make all those beautiful works of art! Happy Saturday! It’s a beauty out there right now. Market day is in full swing here in Creamery Square. Where are you? Come down, grab something yummy at the market and then head to the Grace. We have treats for the eyes. And for Mom’s eyes this weekend. Are you getting her hearts and flowers this year? We have both of those. And the flowers here will last forever. No watering required.
Our newest exhibit is also a sight to see. Catherine Vardy’s Sensing Place is gorgeous. Landscape quilts, framed pieces, lanterns, pillows and journals; something for everyone. And all stories told in fabric.
I’m here until 4pm today. And 12-4pm tomorrow. And there may be cookies here tomorrow. For those that aren’t with Mom’s tomorrow, new to town, or looking to meet someone new , stop in for a visit. Hope to see you soon!

Happy Friday everyone. It's been a busy week here in the gallery. Our next artist, Catherine Vardy, has been busy setting up her show and it is a must see! Her landscape quilts, framed pieces, lanterns, pillow covers and lanterns are so detailed. A labour of love for sure. You will find new hidden treasures every time you look at them. The grand opening is tomorrow, Saturday May 2 from 11am to 2pm. Catherine will be there to meet and answer questions. Stop by for a chat and a cookie.
Due to circumstances beyond our control our next show, The Skeleton Dance on May 8th has been postponed until further notice. We will keep you posted on the reschedule for later in the season.
Don't forget that Mother's Day is next weekend. Do you have a gift for yours yet? We have so many beautiful and unique options. Come by for a visit and leave with something truly special.

It’s Sunday. The end of the weekend and the beginning of the next week. And this one is sunny and warm! Finally!
Here at the Grace, we are saying goodbye to Christophe Scott’s “What the Sea Carries Away”. He’s had a very successful show and we are so happy to have met him and his work. We are looking forward to our next exhibit, “Sensing Place”, by Catherine Vardy. She will be moving her amazing quilts into the gallery later this week and the big reveal will be on Saturday May 1st.
We’ve also received some beautiful pieces into Artisan Alley this weekend. Margaret Millar, Tara Gillis, and Kelly Sanderson have dropped off some great work that you are going to want to see. I may have added a few of them to my wish list. So please come in and save me from myself. Mother’s Day is coming! She will love any of these pieces.

It’s Friday again! And you know what that means. We are open and ready to see you all weekend.
This is the last weekend to see Christophe Scott’s show, What the Sea Carries Away, Ce qu’emporte la mer. He has a few pieces still available. And a book of poetry! Don’t miss out.
We have tickets available for our next show, The Skeleton Dance, happening on May 8th. Grab your favourite child (free admission for 12 and under)and bring them to the theatre. It promises to be a fun night.
And finally, the big day is only 2 weeks away. Mother’s Day. We have some beautiful gift ideas for the woman who thinks the world of you. Show her some love by getting her something unique, handmade and picked out by you. She’ll love it, and you, even more. I have a few things picked out for myself already. If only my boys lived here. I guess I’ll have to buy my own gift. Happy day to me! So get in here quickly to save me if for no other reason.

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a great weekend.
Just wanted to remind you that there is only a couple of days left to sign up for our Welcome Mat Workshop this coming Sunday. We will be organizing the supplies on Thursday so we will need your design choice picked by then. Please email me at [email protected] to reserve your spot and pick your design. I will be back in the gallery on Wednesday if you prefer to do this in person. Grab a friend and spend an afternoon creating a custom mat for your porch. Create art amongst the art!
