A look at the corner of Moncton Street and No. 1 Road, then and now. Did you know that the Mukai Building where Steveston's Rocanini Cafe is located, is named after a confectionery shop that stood there almost one hundred years ago?

The corner of Steveston's No. 1 Road and Moncton Street has been known for it's sweet retail businesses for over 100 years.

Strolling Steveston Village during the holiday season, visitors will find beautifully decorated window displays, including this one at on Moncton Street.

A far cry from the delicate lingerie now on sale at this location, the original building once rang with the clang of a blacksmith’s hammer, supplying stables and three stagecoach lines with freshly made horseshoes right up until the early 1900s 🔨
