Join us for our first puzzle event with our good friends at Made in the 604 | Local Pop-Up Markets 🧩✨

On August 28, PERMA will be hosting a cozy 130-piece puzzle challenge at The Pipe Shop.

This event is designed to be mostly relaxed and social, with just a little bit of friendly competition. Each participant will choose their own PERMA 130-piece puzzle on-site, so not everyone will be working on the same design.

You’ll time yourself as you complete the puzzle, and the top finishers will receive PERMA puzzle prizes. With 20 participants per session, your chance of winning is 1 in 5.

Prizes include(in-stock puzzle):
🏆 One 1000-piece PERMA puzzle
🏆 One 500-piece PERMA puzzle
🏆 One 321-piece PERMA puzzle
🏆 One 130-piece PERMA puzzle

Your ticket includes the 130-piece puzzle used for the challenge. Whether you finish it during the event or not, it’s yours to take home.

The event will take place inside the night market, so there may be some background sounds and lively energy around us. We hope you can enjoy the puzzle challenge while also experiencing the diverse and vibrant atmosphere of the market.

Chongqing • Roaming is personally one of my favorite illustrations we’ve ever turned into a puzzle.
Even though we’ve released many designs over the years, this one quietly stayed closest to my heart — I love it so much that I even made it my phone wallpaper.

The images later in this post are the original artworks by artist Bao Yi Chen, sourced from her Xiaohongshu.

For this piece, Chongqing • Roaming reimagines the urban landscape through the image of fish drifting through the city.

It reflects on the emotional state of modern city life:
“Even when our bodies are trapped between concrete buildings and moving metal boxes, there are moments when the soul slips free into the neon night sky — becoming vivid and luminous beneath the city lights.”

At the beginning of 2023, we were still talking on the phone about the five letters of PERMA and what each of them might stand for. At the time, it felt like a draft on a blank notebook, or very much like working on a puzzle. We started by putting together the outer frame, then slowly filled in the pieces, layer by layer.

At the beginning of 2026, we held our very first brand exhibition in Shanghai.

In front of the exhibition window stood a very special puzzle wall. As each puzzle box was taken home, one by one, the words “Tiny Me, Mighty Power” gradually appeared. It felt like watching strength quietly reveal itself over time.

In many ways, this wall reflected PERMA’s journey over the past three years. A brand growing more confident with each step. More new puzzlers discovered the joy of puzzling, and more experienced puzzlers began to notice the warmth behind what we create.

Looking ahead, we hope to continue growing alongside the global puzzle community in the years to come. Shanghai marks one of the starting points of our dual-city story, and we hope Vancouver will soon welcome PERMA’s very first exhibition as well.💛

Bad news: Our Halloween puzzles arrived(two weeks ago)… not during Halloween.
Good news: We won’t need to reorder for next year 😂

Yes, the universe said “plot twist!” — a typhoon, production delays, shipping chaos… basically every side quest you can imagine.
Results? A mountain of perfectly spooky puzzles showing up long after the pumpkins retired.👻👻

Welcome to PERMA.
We’re so glad you’re here.PERMA started with a story close to home — my younger sister, Cecilia(the rabbit), and a little boy I met while filming at an autism center during the pandemic. He didn’t speak or make eye contact, but when he picked up a puzzle, he smiled.
That moment stayed with me.To us, puzzles aren’t just games — they’re a quiet, beautiful language. A way to feel understood, to reconnect, to find calm in the chaos.
That’s why we created PERMA — not just as a puzzle brand, but as a small attempt to give everyone one more reason to feel joy.
Thank you for being part of our story. We hope our puzzles bring you warmth, clarity, and a bit of happiness — one piece at a time.
With love, PERMA Team
