Coming soon this summer!🌞

📍From June 20 to September 13, 2026, Peterborough Museum & Archives will host Lost Liberties: The War Measures Act, a travelling exhibition developed by the Canadian Museum of History.

The exhibition explores the three times the War Measures Act was invoked in Canadian history: during World War I, World War II, and the 1970 October Crisis. Visitors will learn how these events affected civil liberties and shaped Canada’s legal and political landscape.

Lost Liberties: The War Measures Act was developed by the Canadian Museum of History and generously supported through a grant from the Endowment Council of the Canadian First World War Internment Recognition Fund.
