A new exhibition by local artist P. S. Moore, bringing together work that considers home, place, memory, and the spaces we move through.

➡️Fault Lines | works from the AGP Permanent Collection
A selection of works that traces the tensions, disruptions, and connections that emerge across different artistic practices and perspectives.

🎨 Artists’ Forum: Help Shape the AGP’s Future

The Art Gallery of Peterborough is creating a new Strategic Plan, and we're inviting artists to join us at the Artists’ Forum engagement session.

This is an opportunity to share your experiences, ideas, and perspectives on the role of the AGP in our community. Through facilitated discussion and interactive activities, we’ll explore what matters to artists and what you’d like to see from the AGP in the years ahead.

Your feedback matters. Your input will help shape our new strategic directions.

🎨 Calling all high school artists!

Applications are now open for the Youth Art Mentorship Program (YAM) at the Art Gallery of Peterborough.

YAM gives emerging young artists the opportunity to take their art practice to the next level. Selected students work alongside a professional artist-mentor and AGP staff to develop new work, experiment with ideas, and learn what it takes to create an exhibition.

Participants get access to studio space, materials, equipment, mentorship, and professional experience, culminating in a public exhibition at the Art Gallery of Peterborough.

Program Highlights:

☑️ Create new artwork and develop new artistic skills with the support and guidance of a professional artist-mentor

☑️ Learn what it takes to create an exhibition from artists and art professionals working in a gallery setting

☑️ Access studio space, materials, and equipment

☑️ Participate in a group exhibition at the AGP

☑️ Receive an artist fee for your work

Now entering its 6th year, YAM is an opportunity to connect with other young artists, build your practice, and experience what it means to bring an exhibition to the public.

🍂 Thanksgiving Holiday Hours

The Art Gallery of Peterborough will be closed for the Thanksgiving long weekend, Saturday, October 10 through Monday, October 12.

This is the last weekend to see Lyn Carter's "The Pinks" 🩷

Step into an immersive world of sculpture, animation, and sound, and spend some time with these strange and curious characters.

We're open Saturday and Sunday, 11 AM - 5 PM. Don't miss it!

This exhibition is curated by Mary Reid and Danielle Hoevenaars, and organized and circulated by the Woodstock Art Gallery.

Join us this weekend for an Artist Talk with Lyn Carter!

Bringing together sculpture, animation, and sound, "The Pinks" introduces six quirky, non-human characters and invites us to think about identity, connection, and what it means to be human. The exhibition unfolds through playful and unexpected encounters, with animation sequences that gradually fall out of sync, and characters that each offer their own perspective.

That’s a wrap on the 42nd Annual Kawartha Autumn Studio Tour! 🎨🍂☀️

The sunshine and fall colours made for a beautiful backdrop to a weekend of incredible art across the Kawarthas.

Thank you to all of the artists who opened their studios and shared their work with our community, to everyone who came out to visit, to our sponsors, and to our dedicated staff who helped bring this weekend together.
