The museum's gift shop is a great place to shop for terrific keepsakes and unique gift items such as books, clothing, jewellry, videos, crafts, decorative arts, toys and more. The gift shop is located in the lobby of the Nanaimo Museum and is easily accessible from Commercial Street (in the Vancouver Island Conference Centre next to Serious Coffee).

For generations, the works of Vincent Van Gogh and Claude Monet have invited people to stop, look closer and discover something new. Beyond Van Gogh & Beyond Monet offer a completely different way to do just that.

Through colour, movement, music and larger-than-life projections, familiar works move beyond the frame and surround you, offering a new perspective on two of art history’s most recognizable artists.

The Beyond Van Gogh and Beyond Monet Experience is now open in the Vancouver Island Conference Centre upstairs from the museum!

Thank you to everyone who joined us last Friday to celebrate the exhibit opening, the successful collaboration of the partners to bring an exhibition of this scale to the city, and the first time Beyond Monet has been seen on Vancouver Island.

Thank you to our partners - the Port Theatre, VI Conference Centre, Tourism Nanaimo, City of Nanaimo, Paquin Entertainment, and all of our sponsors for your collaboration & support. Thank you also to Snuneymuxw First Nation and Petroglyph Development Group for the beautiful lobby display.
