Welcome to The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland, formerly Fort Calgary. Located where the Bow and Elbow rivers meet, The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland, is a place of Indigenous gathering and ceremony steeped in thousands of years of tradition and history. Fort Calgary was built on the land at The Confluence in 1875 by the North-West Mounted Police. The land is home to many complex stories that span thousands of years. The Confluence, through meaningful programming, strives to tell accurate stories rooted in this land from a variety of perspectives. Offerings include exhibits, talks, tours, workshops, youth education programs, summer camps, movies, art shows, concerts, festivals and venue rentals for social and corporate events. Nothing like a sunrise at The Confluence❤️. Enjoy some of our favourite pictures of the rivers and remember to take a breath this Friday — the weekend is almost here!

Known and loved in the horror community, The Conjuring series follows paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren as they face the true horrors behind possessions and paranormal manifestations. These stories are often coined as being "based on a true" story, but how much of what we see is the truth? 🤔

Join us for a creepy season edition of How True is a True Story?, a program where we dive into the real story behind movies based on true events. This month, we're watching The Conjuring 2 (2016)! 👻

Before the screening of the film, there will be a 15-minute presentation about the true events that inspired the story, where you might be surprised to learn what is accurate and what is pure Hollywood!
