Angels and Fairies have always been a part of my inner world. As a little girl, my Godmother Judy used to sit with me in her magical garden and talk to the fairies - especially one called Esmeralda. As an adult, I started to believe in Angels when my brother died in a tragic car accident and I felt his presence daily. Angel Study II represents three Angels collaboration to bring light and life to the world. Their combined power is more than the sum of the three individually. Their magic is unstoppable.

This piece is inspired by all things simple - nature, fresh air, a few friendly sheep, the warm rays of the sun and some birds flying overhead. Crops growing in the field, a simple home to live in and some trees for shade. The opposite of the overwhelming feeling of anxiety and stress that comes with living in a big city. I hope it makes you feel calm too.

The original work was done in Acrylic paint, inks, stencil media and Posca markers. Size (A2) 420 x 594. There are Limited Edition and Open Edition Prints of this piece available.

This painting is a tribute to Suzanne Elrod who became famous from the Leonard Cohen song: "Suzanne". She and Leonard were never married although he did sometimes refer to her as his wife. Elrod, under the name Valentina, shot the cover photograph of Cohen's Live Songs album and is pictured on the cover of the Death of a Ladies' Man album (she is on the viewer's right)

The song "Suzanne" was written by Canadian poet and musician Leonard Cohen in the 1960s. First published as a poem in 1966, it was recorded as a song by Judy Collins in the same year, and Cohen performed it as his debut single, from his 1967 album Songs of Leonard Cohen. Many other artists have recorded versions, and it has become one of the most covered songs in Cohen's catalogue.

Suzanne was the beautiful, free-spirited wife of an artist Cohen knew in Montreal during the early 1960s, a time when that city was an epicenter of bohemian culture in North America. Like the song’s character, Verdal did indeed feed Cohen “oranges that come all the way from China”; together, the pair savoured the dazzlingly beautiful view, offered by Verdal’s waterfront apartment, of the St. Lawrence River.

This painting is to immortalize an image of the bohemian and independent Suzanne.

This original was done on a cradled birchwood panel with Acrylics,. It is 400 x 400 x 3. There are limited edition and Open Edition Prints in 400 x 400 and 750 x 750 on Artist Paper

“My Anxious Digits”. Anxiety - That feeling inside when your lizard brain is in charge. There is nothing to be afraid of but your whole body says there is. Heart racing, blood pressure drops, hyperventilation, hot and cold flushes, and your brain is going at a million miles per hour. And, if you are like me, you chew your nails to the quick.
The original work was done with Acrylic paint, collage and ink on a cradled wood panel. Size 400 X 400 X 3. There are Limited Edition and Open Edition Prints of this work In 400 x 400 and 750 x 750 x 3 on high-quality paper.

This painting was done to celebrate the diversity of women across cultures. We all don headgear to celebrate our nationality, religion, fashion preferences, affiliations or favourite special events. Enjoy the beret, cloche, hijab, shtetl, fascinator, streetwear, rice paddy sun protector and any other you can imagine. This is for the sisterhood of being a woman - different but the same.
