KOOF (Kevin Brennan) is an Irish artist based between Ireland and Australia. With a Fine Art degree and a background in graphic design, KOOF creates bold, striking works that fuse precision with expressive colour. His art explores the relationship between form and hue, developing a unique visual language that is intentionally imperfect, open, and inclusive—reflecting his belief that art is for everyone.
Influenced by Bridget Riley, Robert Owen, Frank Stella, Jack Youngerman, Ellsworth Kelly, and Ivan Serpa, KOOF describes his style as Pop-Abstract—a vibrant blend of colour-field theory, Op-Art, and geometric abstraction. His vivid palettes and playful compositions are charged with energy and curiosity, inviting viewers to engage on both emotional and visual levels.
KOOF’s process is meticulous and layered, combining digital techniques with hand-drawn sketches to refine each piece until it achieves harmony in colour and composition. From acrylic paintings and large-scale murals to graphically designed giclée prints, he works fluidly across mediums, constantly experimenting and evolving.
Having exhibited across Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia, KOOF continues to build a dynamic and colour-rich world—one that embraces open-ended narratives and encourages exploration without boundaries.
