- Kudos looks favourably upon proposals that demonstrate a critical, experimental and innovative art practices. Full assessment criteria on application form.
- To allow the selection committee to envision the outcome of your proposal, please provide clear and extensive images that give a clear indication of what you work/project looks like.

Introducing Kudos Collect, our new micro commission program! 🥳

Kudos will be allocating $1,000 and a residency at Joynton Avenue Creative Centre for five weeks to an emerging artist to commission a new artwork for the Kudos permanent collection. Your commissioned work will be exhibited in AD Space in 2027.

Your artwork will respond to one of the following social issues currently facing the student community:
⛓️‍💥Dis/Connect; disconnection between communities, passion vs reality, needs vs wants
🥀Un/Sustainable; creative practices vs unsustainable outputs, burn out, fatigue

We invite proposals that take up these concerns in thoughtful and inventive ways.

Applications close 5pm on the 22nd of October (Term 3 Week 6), successful applicant will be notified Week 7. Check our bio for the 🔗🔗

🚨DEADLINE: 30TH OF NOVEMBER 5PM🚨

Each project selected for the 2027 Exhibition Program will have rent and venue hire fees fully covered by Arc Creative, at no cost to applicants. Selected artists will also be supported by Kudos and Arc Creative with mentorship, basic installation, and AV resources to help bring their creative vision to life.

Applications are assessed by the Kudos Committee, a group of student volunteers who are the voices, minds, and decision makers behind Kudos. On the application form you will find the assessment criteria they will use. You will also find important considerations they will take into account. Make sure you read these before applying 🫵

Kudos presents 'PLEASURE EVERY ATOM’, Mei Lin Meyers’ solo exhibition is an experimental body of work inspired by the artists’ love for protein-packed, bruise-alleviating frozen peas.

Based upon a series of ‘P - E - A’ related acrostic poems, Mei Lin explores themes of intimacy, transformation and touch, through painting, drawing and video.

PLEASURE EVERY ATOM explores the sticky, and spiky sensations of transformation, intimacy and embodiment. Through a trans-disciplinary approach - the audience is invited into a playful and echoey cocoon of pea related video, poetry and painting.

On Wednesday the closing night program is a a Silent Sitting Rave with a playlist curated by Hizryan Kodar. Bring along your earphones, tune into the playlist, sit and read with us. 15th of April 6-7pm.

Unlearning is breaking away from what holds you tight. Unlearning Chairs invites you to pause, sit, and stay at the same level as artworks displayed on chairs. Artists explore cycles of becoming familiar with and saying farewell to something or someone, echoing the cycles of learning and unlearning. Chairs are always waiting in the repetition of absence and presence. Come sit, and stop learning for a moment to enjoy the phase of unlearning.
