12 πππππ is a long-form documentary project by Ilsa WynneβHoelscher that reconsiders photographic representations of birth through a series bringing together twelve encounters with birth across twelve separate lunar cycles. Working with the tactile qualities of analogue film, WynneβHoelscher creates images that embrace vulnerability, intimacy and imperfection, situating birth within a broader history of documentary photography.
ππ¦π΅πΆπ³π―πͺπ―π¨ considers the act of revisiting oneβs motherland, where the notion of home is shaped by both continuity and change. To return as an adult is to encounter landscapes, places, and relationships that carry the resonance of childhood, yet feel creased by the passage of time.
