Dubai-based Singaporean artist MG presents new paintings from her ongoing series Collecting the Collectors, which examines the private interiors of art collectors as psychologically charged spaces where identity and power are negotiated through objects and images. Drawing from real interiors while deliberately disrupting their spatial logic, her paintings transform domestic settings into unstable environments in which artworks, decorative objects, and their owners become participants in an intricate theatre of collecting and self-construction.

We’re excited to preset Adel Abidin’s multimedia installation 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘞𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘦 (2024) as our presentation at OFFSCREEN that is opening October 20 in Chapelle Saint-Louis de la Salpêtrière, Paris.

Adel Abidin has developed an internationally recognised multidisciplinary practice examining how histories are constructed, erased, and remembered. Working across video, installation, sculpture, drawing, and painting, he combines dark humour with a precise visual language to explore power, displacement, conflict, identity, and cultural alienation.

Today, we introduce the first of four sections of 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘴, our current exhibition in Paris, curated by .brechignac.

The exhibition opens with works by Carlota Sandoval Lizarralde and Dove Perspicacius that draw directly on the forms of the ex-voto, revealing both their persistence in contemporary artistic practices and their connection to popular culture. Historically produced outside academic circuits, often anonymously, and intended to be seen by all, the ex-voto offered a collective form of access to painting and sculpture.

This Friday, we look forward to the transformation of the Gothic interior of St Cyprian’s Church by Nomin Zezegmaa (Nomin Zezegmaa), presented as part of Bagri Springboard by Bagri Foundation.

The exhibition responds to the building’s striking architecture and choral history through sculpture, sound, painting and installation, including a newly commissioned sound work and a 27-metre-long batik installation.

Drawing from Mongol ancestral knowledge practices, cosmology and musical traditions, Zezegmaa’s work explores connections between spirituality, material, memory and place, transforming the church into an immersive and contemplative environment.

Curated by Bagri Foundation Director Chelsea Pettitt, the exhibition marks Zezegmaa’s first solo exhibition in the UK.

Andrew Riad expands his multidisciplinary research into dance, ancient Egyptian mythology, and the material history of copper through an installation combining painting, sculpture, text, and ritual gesture. Rooted in the figure of Hathor, the Egyptian goddess associated with music, dance, copper mining, and the passage between life and death, the project interweaves personal memory, Coptic funerary traditions, and the persistence of language. Copper, roses, milk, water, and movement recur throughout the installation and individual objects, connecting ideas of ancestry, spirituality, and cultural survival.

A new video on 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘴 – the current group exhibition at NIKA Project Space, Paris – is now live on our YouTube channel.

In the video, curator .brechignac guides us through the show and its four sections, tracing the idea of the ex-voto and the different forms it takes across contemporary artistic practices. Along the way, she introduces the works of all 14 participating artists and explores how they revisit votive gestures through their artistic lenses.

The show reclaims Cassandra – the prophetess of Troy, cursed to speak the truth without being believed – as a collective, polyphonic chorus of women whose ecological and social visions demand our attention. We are pleased to invite you to a conversation accompanying 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘴, currently on view at NIKA Project Space — Art Gallery, Paris. Titled «𝘌𝘹-𝘝𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘝𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘈𝘳𝘵,» the talk brings together medievalist and art critic Grégoire Prangé, placing historical perspectives on votive practices in dialogue with their renewed presence in contemporary discourse.

Pierre-Olivier Dittmar
A lecturer at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), his research focuses on the interfaces between humans and other forms of life throughout the long Middle Ages, whether animals, invisible beings, or artefacts. He has notably co-authored and co-edited Image et transgression au Moyen Age, Le monde roman par delà le bien et le mal, and Matérialiser les désirs. Techniques votives. His latest book, L’invention de l’animal, was published in 2026.

Gregoire Prangé
Grégoire Prangé is Head of the raw prospective programme, publications and research at LaM, Lille Métropole Museum of Modern, Contemporary and Outsider Art, and a SACRe PhD candidate at ENS-PSL, where he continues his research on agency and systems of value in contemporary art. At the museum, he has been involved in curating numerous exhibitions, including Jessy Razafimandimby, l’incidence au bel étage (2026), Marisa Merz, écouter l’espace (2024), and Anselm Kiefer, la photographie au commencement (2023).

We are happy to return to OFFSCREEN, taking place from October 20-25 at the Chapelle Saint-Louis de la Salpêtrière.

Founded in 2022, OFFSCREEN is a nomadic art fair dedicated to experimental practices around installation, still and moving images. For its second year in this historic 17th-century chapel, the fair brings together a focused selection of international galleries and artists, with as this year’s Guest of Honor.

This year, we present the multimedia installation 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘞𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘦 (2024) by Adel Abidin. In the coming weeks, we will share more about the work and its presentation at the fair.

Today, as we celebrate Adrian Pepe’s birthday, we turn our attention to Jesus el héroe, 2025, currently on view as part of 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘴 at NIKA Project Space, Paris.

Born in Honduras and based in Lebanon for many years, Pepe draws on the visual language of Catholic devotion, bringing together attributes traditionally associated with both Jesus and the Virgin Mary within his own body. Standing on glass bottles, in reference to Christ walking on water, while wrapped in the Virgin’s blue mantle, the artist brings these familiar religious codes into a single image. In doing so, he invites us to reflect on how these symbols continue to circulate through popular culture today.
