As The Nature of Women Exhibition comes to a close, our hearts are full.

A gallery is more than its walls. It is the artists who fill it with meaning, courage, and beauty.

To our extraordinary women artists, thank you!
Thank you for trusting us with your work.
Thank you for sharing your stories.
Thank you for allowing us to celebrate your creativity.

Art has a remarkable way of bringing people together, and somewhere along the journey, colleagues become friends and artists become family.

We are incredibly proud of what we've created together, and even more grateful for the relationships that continue long after the exhibition walls are cleared.

Here's to creativity, friendship, shared purpose, and many more exhibitions together.

With love and gratitude, thank you!

Meet the Artist - David Chiponda

Born in Zimbabwe, artist David Chiponda’s creative journey has been shaped by craftsmanship, mentorship, and transformation. After relocating to South Africa in 2016, he established himself as a specialist metal craftsman, known for his intricate detail and deep-rooted passion for the craft.

In 2021, David’s artistic potential was recognised by Dirk Durnez, founder of Kunye Colab, who saw beyond technical skill to a unique creative voice. Under Dirk’s mentorship, David spent two years refining his artistic practice, embracing innovation, sustainability, and community-driven values.

Today, David’s work reflects a powerful fusion of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary art, drawing from his Zimbabwean heritage while engaging with the vibrant creative landscape of South Africa. His pieces speak to transformation, cultural identity, and the enduring spirit of creativity.
