It is very important for us to depict the people of Africa in a balanced, dignified and beautiful way which symbolizes the spirit of hardworking people in their pursuit of love and happiness. The African Portrait was established in 2004, specializing in oils on canvas and mixed media. The gallery’s main focus is portraiture and compositions celebrating Africa in all its diversity and beauty with special emphasis on the portrayal of people living simply, and existing in a manner that our modern world have forgotten. The emphasis is not only the visual beauty, but also the emotions, longings and searching which mirror similarities within us.
