Resident artist Meghan Sours continuing the tradition of painting peaches! Meghan has been an East Oaks resident for two years and brings so much beauty and wisdom to the studio.

She shares a monthly newsletter with her insights on art and life. The following is an excerpt:

WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT | We are thrilled to announce that Ruth Fitton will be coming in October for another portraiture workshop!

This boutique workshop will explore expressive portrait painting, available both in-person and online. In-person spots are very limited!

The course will focus on the creation of a fully developed portrait from life, beginning from a strong narrative composition, through to refining a precise likeness.

WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT | We are thrilled to announce our upcoming workshop with Timothy Rees! “A Color Forward Approach to Painting the Figure” will be a 4-day boutique workshop presenting Timothy’s unique, color forward method of painting figures. Participants will learn how to navigate the complexity of the human form, balancing the articulation of anatomy against the vivid color of impressionist painting to marriage the two traditionally separate schools of thought.
