Our mission is bigger than our walls. So, we’re selling ours.
409 West Martin Street is going on the market.
This wasn’t sudden. We spent a year listening and studying. We listened to artists, educators, community leaders, and supporters like you, and we studied how museums everywhere are adapting.
And after this year of reflection and reimagination, we’ve realized that owning this building stopped adding up.
We're choosing the art over the address. Letting the building go protects what we're actually here for: contemporary artists and contemporary art.
What comes next? We’re exploring the possibilities of:
A new kind of space,
A smaller footprint,
Partnerships across the city, or
A model no one's tried yet.
We're keeping every door open, on purpose.
CAM isn’t saying goodbye. We’re setting the stage for our boldest chapter yet.
