The Mahler Fine Art

Rest in Peace, PETER MAX. The Mahler held two separate, two week exhibitions with Peter Max. He was a delightful hoot! A warm man who respected and appreciated the first responders of 911. He created 356 individual portraits as gifts of each first responder. Peter created six works of art and donated the money to the families of those responders. Scroll through to see the two concepts for the Raleigh painting, and one of the six donated works. He painted and lived in Joy. We had so much fun with the whole exhibition team, both times! 🕊️

Many thanks to Michelle Wilkie for her exhibition, on view now, at UNC Rex hospital. Her beautiful, vibrant textile wall hangings, have brought such great warmth, color and joy to the healthcare workers, patients, family members and administrators who view her works daily.
“Soul Nourishment” embodies an exploration of renewal through the act of making. These works were produced because the artist gave themselves permission to just play, to be creative and break free from the stress and worries of the day. The artist encourages the viewer to take time in their day to pause, put their well-being first, take a breath, even if it is just for 5-15 minutes. Feed the soul. Wilkie‘s artwork lifts the soul!
