• A brick one-room school (1877)
• Print shop
• Wagon shop
• Town hall (1900)
• A general store (1918)
• A turn-of the-century church and parsonage

Check in at the Main Building (Old Troy Township Hall) and check out the gift shop before you leave. Join us for our next Constitution Cafe on Sunday September 13 at 2pm! This program is FREE!

We'll be discussing the Declaration of Independence. When does government stop working and it becomes necessary to dissolve the political bands that hold us together?

Constitution Cafés are an open discussion using the Socratic Method of inquiry to explore different aspects of the USA Constitution and related documents each month. These open discussions are led by Oakland County lawyer John Kulesz, and civil discussion is prioritized to create a safe environment to ask questions.

This program is FREE, but we do ask that you register beforehand: https://www.troyhistoricvillage.org/programs/constitution-cafes/

Sponsored by Oakland County Bar Foundation.

Happy 60th Birthday Troy Historical Society!

Did you know that a group of people passionate about preserving Troy’s History formed the Troy Historical Society on August 16, 1966? Today the Troy Historical Society (THS) operates Troy Historic Village in partnership with the City of Troy.

After years of planning and fundraising, the Niles-Barnard home arrived safely at the Village in October 2010. In this photo, proud THS Board Members stand in front of the recently moved Niles-Barnard House. (From Left to Right: Fred Rounds, Ward Randol, and John Lavender.)

THS continues strong today with support from the City or Troy, Program revenue, and support from donors like you! Thank you to all who have supported our recent appeals and all our members! If you’d like to support us today, consider making a $19.66 donation in honor of our 60th birthday here: https://www.troyhistoricvillage.org/support/donate/
