When I saw this kitchen I wondered why there is a space unoccupied below the ovens?

Did they forget to finish the design?

This design highlights the ovens by creating a floating appearance with negative space below. The quilted material with the led lights adds emphasis to the ovens with the contrast.

Open both doors and there are hidden open shelves on both sides.

We use negative space to create interest. We design for efficiency and interest.

We love handleless kitchens and appliances.

By adding this filler to the base cabinet we created an overhang in the fridge door that can be the handle.

Negative space is where we win.

We wanted extra storage so why not put it inside of the dining table?

We use every square millimeter of space to the fullest and make it look easy.

You’re gonna ask but where do you put them when you thaw them out since you can’t set the table whole the top is up.

Easy, put them on the island that’s attached to the table. Close the top and there you go.

In honor of the San Francisco Fall Show Gala — opening tonight.

Since 1982, the West Coast’s home for the decorative arts: 40+ of the world’s top dealers, four days at Fort Mason, one mission — to preserve, cultivate, and advance the decorative arts by fostering education and inspiring appreciation for craftsmanship, design, and cultural heritage.

This year the Show celebrates Métallique Chic. Think gold leaf, silver filigree, copper patina, platinum polish, pearlescent pewter and time-worn bronze — a sparkling dialogue in which every precious metal carries a story. It’s time to shine.

Here’s our contribution to the dialogue — freshly minted.
