Kaitlin Walsh specializes in abstract anatomical watercolor and oil paintings. From a young age, she exhibited an immense fascination with both art and medicine. She focused her studies on both disciplines, eventually receiving a graduate degree in Biomedical Visualization from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Soon after graduation, Kaitlin had a child in the NICU for several months. That harrowing experience fleshed out a deep-rooted purpose: To appreciate and showcase the tremendous beauty of the human body through painting. She launched her studio, Lyon Road Art, in 2015 and has now sold over 60,000 prints of her work and is a well-known name in the anatomical art community. She lives happily in Madison with her husband and three healthy children.

Bronze
8” x 8” x 8”

My Bronze sculpture series is driven by the sphere form and its presence in nature. The spheres range in size from gumball to boulder size. I am intrigued with repetition in nature and the images used in these sculptures allow me to create an appearance of volume without mass. The balance between positive  and negative space is also a main concern in this work. My intent is for the viewer to interpret what is seen.

L’AMOUR INFINI
$600
By Evelin Lara
Oil on Canvas
19.69” x 19.69”

“This painting is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring power of parental love, capturing the essence of infinite love. It portrays the serene innocence of my daughter peacefully asleep, but also my journey through motherhood. The scene unfolds with brushstrokes that blend colors to create a blurred background, allowing the focus to rest solely on the peaceful innocence radiating from her sleeping form. It envelops the viewer in a dreamlike atmosphere, transporting them to a realm where time stands still and the ordinary transcends. It is an opportunity to witness the beauty of life unfolding, one peaceful breath at a time.”

by Sally Thornton
Bronze Sculpture on Wood Base
9” x 6.5” x 6.5”

I choose sculpture. I like the ability to see the object from all sides. I find delight in looking from a surprising perspective. I sometimes feel a sweet spot when I look from a view I hadn’t considered.

I choose bronze as my medium. I like the fire and the metal. I like the alchemy. In the end, I like the permanence.

I choose the figure. Always the figure. I like a common person on a common day. The human figure is endlessly subtle and expressive. I sculpt imperfect moments that seem mundane, but are common shared experiences

I have always been an artist.  I have had the ability to draw objects accurately since childhood.  Art has always been uplifting and a source of inspiration to me. I like to have the viewer make a connection with my art.  I have been influenced by old renaissance as well as contemporary
masters. No matter what state of mind I am in, portraying nature or my ideas on canvas, in my particular style has always brought me joy and peace of mind.  If I can invoke the same stimulation in my audience, it is a definite bonus.

WHISPERS FROM THE PROVINCE
$795.00

by Niloufar Fallahfar
Oil on 3D Sculpture
3.5” x 3” x 2”

Niloufar Fallahfar is an Iranian artist currently pursuing her MFA in Studio Art at Michigan State University. She explores themes of identity, memory, and socio-political challenges, especially in relation to the Woman, Life, Freedom movement in Iran. Her work often merges three-dimensional sculptural elements with painting, reflecting her deep interest in the narrative possibilities within art. Fallahfar’s artistic practice delves into abstract, yet figurative forms, symbolizing cultural resistance and personal stories.

Through my art, I seek to transcend the personal and address universal themes of resilience, transformation, and the human condition. Each piece invites the viewer to engage with the layers of meaning embedded within textures and forms, creating a visual dialogue between the past and the present, and between the self and the collective experience.

James Anthony - “The message we convey reflects our experiences, interests, values and beliefs. We have a moral responsibility to use our talents wisely, considering we have the power to affect the way our viewers think and perceive this world. A work of art needs to be visually appealing to initially attract the viewer’s attention, or it may go unnoticed. It must elicit a response that evokes an emotion, jogs the mind, or stirs the spirit. Hopefully, this in some way affects or alters the beholder’s viewpoint. I prefer realism because of its straightforwardness and painting people particularly. Realism is the most understandable style to most observers, a common universal language. There is little doubt about what the viewer is looking at, creating a certain credibility. While the image needs its roots in reality, it can be made up to suit the message the artist wishes to convey. It will reveal an idea that the viewer is forced to consider.”

Out Of The Woods
by Elizabeth Parnova
Oil on Canvas
36” x 48”
$3,000

I am a painter, ceramicist, and illustrator working out of San Francisco and I absolutely love creating a variety of different art from super hyperrealistic landscapes to fun animal based illustrations to food themed ceramics.

I want my landscapes to bring someone back to a memory or happy place and just take a deep breath almost as they are there and really fall into the woods. Lighting is one of my favorite aspects of painting and I love creating an image that just looks alive for people to step into.

Being an artist is about seeing the world in its natural state and generating an emotional connection through a quick glance of the eye of some object or objects in that natural state… then being able to translate that glance to a surface with a medium so the viewer can see what you see in that connection.

I am primarily inspired by the pursuit of excellence. Art is an excellent outlet for this inspiration because no artwork is ever perfect. Therefor the pursuit of excellence is never ending. Creating art is a journey with no real paths and no final destinations. Completed works are only benchmarks of where we have been, not necessarily where we are going. This is what the public sees when it looks at art work.

Random Man
Oil, Modeling Paste & Styrofoam
11” x 6” x 8”
$300

Peter Moen grew up during the 60’s in south San Jose, California. After High School, he went to U.C. Berkeley to become an engineer. He then worked as an engineer. In 2006, he took a drawing class and found out that he could draw. Since that time he has been working on becoming an artist. He loves to incorporate portraits into 2D art using oils or acrylics. He has received a MFA in Pictorial Art at San Jose State University and an AS degree in Fine Arts at San Jose City College.

“My sculptures and paintings are punctuation marks in my life. I like to use my skills as a portrait sculptor and painter to make comments on current events by using partially abstract or non-objective art that include natural or abstract portraits. I use oil paint on stryrofoam, wood panels, canvas, or other substrates like single-use plastic. My emotional reaction is a big part of my art practice. In the sculpture for this exhibition, I created a nearly lifesize head of my friend Katsumi. His grandfather was a Samurai! Now we share a love for coffee. I also included a sculpture of a random man.”

$2,900

Horses along with drawing them are my absolute passion. Growing up with horses helped me realize the sanity and tranquility their energy transfers into my own life. To be able to draw them has been my ultimate devotion because of this realization. My goal is to recreate the feeling of euphoric emotion you get from their presence as realistically as possible. I specialize in graphite pencil realism but occasionally work with acrylic and watercolor.

Simone Schiffmacher
Beaded Sheet with TreSemme Logo
8” x 11” x 6”
$1750

“The prominent placement of logo on the abstract beaded sheet, makes the logo’s the key element to understanding the object. While the logo alters the read of the object, one attempts to understand the hidden form beneath. Because of the intangibility of the object, one becomes frustrated with the inability to recognize the object. By focusing on the sheets rather than the objects, my work displays the hierarchy of brand identity in our contemporary time.”

Simone Schiffmacher has an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Fiber and has received a BFA at the Cleveland Institute of Art in Fiber and Material Studies.

Ler Chang

As an immigrant from China, I experienced different cultures, educational environments, and multiple industries which contribute to my visual and conceptual vocabulary. My enduring focus is on common issues of humans, nature, and society. I find both inspiration and disappointment in humans’ behaviors, as well as the hope, doubt, and fear of the future.

My goal is to influence people’s minds with illusions and spectacles. Art is my tool and weapon to change the world.
