Throwback to “Comparisons”, a solo exhibition by PS Member Virginia Maksymowicz (Virginia Maksymowicz ) featured at the DaVinci Art Alliance (DVAA (Da Vinci Art Alliance) ) October 30th through November 23rd, 2025.
Pictured here are the front windows paring a Lenin-Lenape woman with a zig-zag column from a French monastery.
The exhibition featured a series of inkjet prints on silk which paired women from different ethnic backgrounds with architectural elements. The silk’s translucency and subtle movement cause the images to shift in and out of visual alignment, changing with light and ambient air currents. They appear soft and vulnerable…all the while depicting strong, confident female figures.
