⭐️ On View Now | What Remains Visible ⭐️

Upsilon Gallery London presents ‘What Remains Visible’, a group exhibition featuring works by Tonye Ekine, Lu Gan, Katie Kaur, Jenny Lewis, and Ruarí Milne. Bringing together painting and photography, the exhibition explores light not simply as a condition of vision but as a material through which memory, perception, and history are continually negotiated.

The exhibition takes its point of departure from the proposition that visibility is never neutral. Rather than offering transparent descriptions of the world, the works gathered here examine how meaning is constructed through acts of looking. Across distinct practices, light functions as atmosphere, structure, gesture, and witness, shaping both what is revealed and what remains unresolved.

Let’s look back together at the opening of the Sierra Leone National Pavilion at La Biennale di Venezia, featuring the work of Móyòsóré Martins.

Through his gestural painting, Martins explores themes of memory, identity, and transformation, weaving together intimate narratives and collective perspectives around the concept of “in minor keys.”

Set within the ECOWAS context, the presentation created a meaningful dialogue where differences became connections and new possibilities emerged.

Thank you to everyone who shared this special moment with us at the Biennale.
