Porcelain bowls the weight of paper by BODIL MANZ: We at Garth Clark Gallery are proud of the 47 women we honored with solo exhibitions, often multiple shows and many more featured in scores of group shows (both in our space and in collaborating galleries) and in museum shows we initiated across five continents. No other New York gallery in NYC was as gender proactive. I licked up my first piece by Bodil when jurying the Triennial of Small Ceramics in Zagreb during the Bosnia War! Its was four inches high and I wondered why this cup, seemingly made out of wax paper, was included. Malevich would have loved her!
