Lichtundfire is pleased to announce and welcome all to ANTHROPOCENE, an exhibition in various media, from Abstraction to Abstracted, Conceptual Representation, that brings together artists who shine a light on the impactful existence of humanity on our planet.

Anthropocene is a term often used to describe a new geological epoch in which humanity becomes a planetary force of change. It appears in scientific and social discourse, especially when referring to the accelerating geophysical and biochemical changes that characterize the 20th and 21st Centuries.
The word stems from ancient Greek anthropos = human and kainós (cene) = new, characterizing an era when human activity rivals major natural forces. (..)

The exhibition addresses, comments on, and evokes a delicate situation and the challenges and difficulties that stem from this new era of human impact and intervention on our planet and beyond.
