Lichtundfire is pleased to announce and welcome all to the Opening Reception of ORACLE, marking the start of the fall season 2026 at the gallery.

An oracle, in the ancient classical sense, comes from ancient Latin orare, to speak or to tell, and connotes a person or thing considered to provide insight, wise counsel, or prophetic predictions, most notably precognition of the future.

The exhibition brings together artists working both visually and conceptually with intuitive processes, visual predictions, concepts of foreseeing or foreboding, imaginative anticipations of future events, and interpretations of the past that reverberate into the future.

With a multitude of materials, processes, and techniques, stemming from the exploration of the theme and its impact on each artist’s medium and unique interpretation, the exhibition delves into a wide range of fields from astrology, mythology, alchemy, and ancient science to classical philosophy, poetry, and psychology.
