A new exhibition by Darren Almond, titled ‘Rags’, will open at the Museo Ca****la Sansevero, a historic 16th-century chapel in Naples, Italy.

The presentation will feature a new body of paintings titled ‘Songbirds’.

This work was inspired by Darren’s visit to Lucian Freud's London studio after the artist's death, where he became captivated by piles of discarded rags used for cleaning brushes.

Happy Birthday, !

Andreas’s subjects take on a scale akin to that of history painting. In doing so, the artist gives spatial precedence to the pressing issues of our age, articulated through expansive scenes that reveal their pictorial complexity.

In ‘Eisläufer (Ice skater)’ (2021), White Cube’s Director, Hannah Gruy, walks us through the details of a busy, Brueghel-esque scene of people out walking and conversing in a landscape of lightly snow-covered fields.

Brimming with humanity, this image was taken during the period in which the pandemic forced many indoors, resulting in communal open spaces becoming central to urban life.

White Cube wishes a happy birthday to !

Over the past 40 years, Christian Marclay has explored the fusion of fine art and audio cultures, transforming sound and music into a visible, physical form through performance, collage, sculpture, installation, photography and video.

As the artist expressed: ‘To be totally original and start from scratch always seemed futile. I was more interested in taking something that existed and was part of my surroundings, to cut it up, twist it, turn it into something different; appropriating it and making it mine through manipulations and juxtapositions.'

'Christian Marclay: The Clock' continues at MoMA, New York until 17 February 2025.

‘ : Immersions’ is now open at (until 22 February 2025)

For his first exhibition in Korea, Tunji has created a new series of paintings that respond to the context of Seoul, and mark a new development in his exploration of the interplay between figure, environment and motion.

For the artist, the body serves as a vessel for storytelling, becoming a site for modes of self-governance, conveyed particularly through the elastic gestures of dance.

In a notable departure from his previous works, here the artist shifts his focus to the surrounding space, such that in some paintings the body is completely obscured.

As he states: ‘I’m interested in depicting the reverberation and chromatic frequency that these bold characters leave behind.’

Last chance to see ‘Lynne Drexler: The Sixties’ at White Cube Mason’s Yard (until 10 January 2025)

This first major presentation in Europe of the late American artist Lynne Drexler (1928–99) features paintings, works on paper and mixed-media collages from a formative period in the artist’s career.

Composed through mosaic-like brushstrokes and fluid passages of colour, Drexler’s works draw inspiration from the natural landscape and her affinity for classical music, resulting in compositions that unite structure and spontaneity.

Her collages extend this exploration into layered, tactile dimensions, infusing her painterly language with dynamic formal compositions.
