NEW MARK VESSEY RELEASE: 1971

1971 was a landmark year in music, revered as one of the greatest due to the extraordinary concentration of iconic albums released across genres through those twelve months. Artists embraced the LP as a serious artistic format, using it to explore personal themes, political unrest, and new musical techniques. The result was a year that reshaped music and still sets the benchmark more than five decades later.

'1971' is Vessey’s celebration of that pivotal year, featuring the legendary albums and artists that defined it. You can currently see '1971' debuting at AAF Austin but if that's not local for you pop along to our website through the link in our bio to purchase.

Today we’re sharing the beautiful work of Gustavo Ortiz, whose intricate collage pieces captivate with rich colour, layered textures and storytelling. Inspired by myths, legends and the warmth of his native Argentina, each work reveals something new the longer you look.

We super excited to be back in NYC this week at the AAF in the Starrett-Lehigh building in Chelsea. And even more excited to be launching the fabulous new MTV 90s edition by Mark Vessey, the sister piece to his recently launched MTV 80s. These pieces celebrate the bands and tracks played the most on MTV during those iconic decades.
