Meet the Artists! We are the founding Textile Art Gallery NYC.

Maria Shell is a quilt maker whose work is grounded in the history and lineage of stitched American Patchwork.

Her quilt compositions often include improvision-ally pieced solid fabrics in an array of colors.

Her quilt compositions are modern day pieced tapestries composed of color, pattern, repetition, and stitch.

Maria teaches and lectures regularly on Zoom and in long format LIVE workshops at quilt retreats across the United States.

She has exhibited internationally and nationally in solo and small group shows.
