This coming Sunday, October 18th at NARS!

Alongside NARS International Artist Residency Open Studios, please join Season IV, 2026 A.i.R. Peyton Peyton for 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚, a performance which will be held at NARS on our 4th floor in our common room.

In 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚, Peyton tells a story through drawing, projection, and storytelling. The performance traces a thread through family, memory, and the fragments that connect one generation to the next.

The performance brings together memory, migration, and the bodily practices that connect us to histories both remembered and forgotten.

Join us on Saturday, October 17 from 3–5 pm forfor a free family workshop with artist Cynthia Reynolds at Sunset Park Library! The workshop will guide participants through creating their own Yayoi Kusama-inspired pumpkin in celebration of the autumn season and the great Japanese artist.

Acompañenos el sábado 17 de octubre de 3:00 p.m. a 5:00 p.m. para un taller familiar gratuito con la artista Cynthia Reynolds. El taller guiará a los participantes en la creación de su propia calabaza inspirada en Yayoi Kusama, para celebrar la temporada otoñal y a la gran artista japonesa.

Please join us for our program, an artist talk featuring Katrin Keller , Olivia Abächerli , and Andrea Fortmann in conversation with Chantal Meng , moderated by curator Katrin Sperry , on Saturday, October 17, 1:30–2:30 PM in the NARS Communal Space.

Artists will discuss the exhibition 𝘼 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 followed by a brief Q&A with the audience.

Alongside the opening of 𝘽𝙊𝙉𝙀 𝘼𝙎𝙃, 𝙈𝙀𝙈𝙊𝙍𝙔 𝙃𝙊𝙇𝙀𝙎, 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙍𝙀𝘾𝙄𝙋𝙀𝙎, please join us for our program, 𝘾𝙊𝙉𝙁𝙇𝙐𝙀𝙉𝘾𝙀 𝙐𝙉𝘿𝙀𝙍 𝘽𝙍𝙄𝙉𝙀, a participatory performance by Yoshie Sugito on Friday, October 16, 7–8 PM in the NARS Project Space.

NARS Foundation is pleased to present 𝘽𝙊𝙉𝙀 𝘼𝙎𝙃, 𝙈𝙀𝙈𝙊𝙍𝙔 𝙃𝙊𝙇𝙀𝙎, 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙍𝙀𝘾𝙄𝙋𝙀𝙎, a solo exhibition by NARS alum Yoshie Sugito (Season II, 2021 & Season IV, 2022).

In 𝘉𝘖𝘕𝘌 𝘈𝘚𝘏, 𝘔𝘌𝘔𝘖𝘙𝘠 𝘏𝘖𝘓𝘌𝘚, 𝘛𝘏𝘌 𝘙𝘌𝘊𝘐𝘗𝘌𝘚, Yoshie Sugito presents a solo exhibition tracking 13 Sichuan pickle jars that traveled from New York across the West Coast, Taiwan, and Berlin. Through recipes, notes, and drawings gathered along migrant networks and domestic spaces, Sugito explores how culture mutates across borders. The opening reception features CONFLUENCE UNDER BRINE, a participatory performance inviting visitors directly into the collective archive.

Within the exhibition project Olivia Abächerli, Andrea Fortmann, and Katrin Keller explore self-reflection, precarity, the silencing and amplifying of voices, and the interconnectedness of these themes. Through repetition, juxtaposition, and resonance, the works on view reveal multiple points of connection. Through their respective independent artistic strategies, the three artists pose their questions as physically tangible gestures, offering a subjective perspective on the instability of our existence.

We’re back for another weekend of

Come spend the weekend with us at J&M STUDIOS as our Season IV Artists-in-Residence open their studios alongside 40+ artists throughout the building.

We’re kicking things off this Friday, Oct 16, 6–9 PM with the opening receptions for:

𝘼 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 — a group exhibition featuring Olivia Abächerli , Andrea Fortmann .fortmann, and Katrin Keller , curated by Katrin Sperry .
