Today we stand with students across schools in Brooklyn, NYC, and the US who will be protesting gun violence one month after the #parklandshooting in FL. Long before this year, in Brooklyn, youth organizers have been protesting gun violence urgently, creatively, and intentionally every day, as we combat gun violence in our own neighborhood. We stand with @soscrownheights @youthorganizing who have committed to community safety and anti-violence youth organizing in Brooklyn to end gun violence in our community.
.
.
We support gun control, community safety strategies, and the power of young people to change the world. Demand the 🌎 we all deserve to live in!! 🙌🏾

Listen to the wise words of our youth organizers speaking on how gun violence affects them and why they want to make a change in the community. To support them, go to crownheights.org/give. With enough donations we will march in Washington DC! If we can't make that happen, we will continue taking action for a safer city here in NYC. Link in the profile! #youthpower #6FeetAbove

Would love to see at both the lgbt teen night and regular night, writing workshops, silk screening, printmaking, meditation circles, and more food, less snacks. In the past the activities felt like for 5 year olds.
I would love if open calls for art submissions every semester that can be created for young artists like at Bronx Museum’s “The Mind’s Abstraction” to display at Brooklyn Museum.
