What a month it’s been. ✨

One of the highlights of our summer is always our eBay intern experience, and this year we had the opportunity to bring Grounded in Texture to 77 interns.

There’s a reason I keep coming back to tactile, hands-on art experiences. Working with texture, color, and our hands engages us differently than another conversation or screen ever could. The repetitive, sensory nature of making can help us slow down, focus our attention, reduce stress, and become more present in the moment.

And you don’t have to be an artist to experience those benefits.

For this workshop, everyone started with the same materials—texture paste, tools, panels, and paint—but there was no single “right” outcome. Each person experimented, made choices, added color, and created something completely their own.

That’s what I love about bringing art into the workplace. It isn’t really about teaching people to make a particular piece of art. It’s about creating the conditions for pause, play, experimentation, and connection in a world that rarely gives us enough of any of those things.

Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is put down the screen and make something with our hands. 💫

I’ve always believed that the energy we bring into something has the power to shape the entire experience.

I see it all the time in my workshops. The materials and project matter, of course, but the energy I bring into the room—and the space I create for people—is often what determines whether the experience really connects.

Recently, I became curious about what happens when we intentionally explore our subconscious, so I tried RTT Hypnotherapy for the first time with Aleks | Genie Within You, a Certified Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT).

The way we experience the world is shaped by the lens we’re looking through—and lately, I feel like I’m in the middle of cleaning mine.

As an immigrant, my instinct has always been to push through challenges, work hard, and keep moving forward. But lately I’ve realized that not everything is meant to be pushed through. Sometimes we need to create enough space to notice what’s underneath the surface.

What struck me most about the experience was having someone create such a safe, thoughtful space to explore that. To be heard. To be listened to without judgment. To begin conversations with myself that I hadn’t realized I needed.

I went in with very few expectations. I didn’t walk away with all the answers, but I found myself thinking about parts of my life I rarely think about and noticing patterns I hadn’t accessed before.

There’s something powerful about creating space to understand what drives us, what may be holding us back, and where we genuinely want to go.

August always makes me think back to where this all started.

In August 2020, Google reached out and asked if I could lead a virtual botanical printing workshop. I didn’t even have a proper setup. I had to figure out my lights, learn Zoom, practice talking to a camera, and hope everything worked.

At that point, I wasn’t even shipping kits. I simply sent participants a list of supplies to buy themselves.

That one workshop became the beginning of everything.

Since then, I’ve learned so much. I’ve had the opportunity to teach thousands of participants around the world, work with incredible clients, and build a business I never could have imagined from my parents’ garage.

The world has changed. Corporate events have changed. People’s needs have changed. And my business has evolved alongside them.

One thing that hasn’t changed is that people still ask me how I built this business, how I landed those first clients, and how I turned a creative practice into a full-time career.

I’m taking a short sabbatical to rest, reflect, and reset. When I return in September, I’ll be launching a masterclass sharing everything I’ve learned since that first Google workshop in 2020, along with a few new targeted offerings that I’m really excited about.

Looking forward to what’s next. 🌿

One of my favorite parts of teaching isn’t showing people how to make something—it’s watching them make it their own.

Every workshop starts with the same materials, a few prompts, and an invitation to explore. After that, the magic belongs to the participants.

What began as textured, earth-inspired panels evolved into completely different interpretations—personal inner landscapes, abstract compositions, and stories told through color and texture. No two pieces were alike.

That’s what I love most about creativity. You can start with a single idea, but once it’s in someone else’s hands, it becomes something entirely new. As a facilitator, there’s nothing more rewarding than watching people surprise themselves.

Seeing these finished pieces reminds me that creativity isn’t about making identical art—it’s about discovering your own voice.
