"Coolest find yet. The USS Trigger (SS-237) was Silversides' sister ship. Built right next to her and launched after Silversides. This flood valve is labeled Trigger and for whatever reason ended up on Silversides. USS Trigger was sunk during the war with all hands lost (sunk 28 March 1945). This could be the only surviving "Trigger" submarine part." - Scott, Vessel Curator, on site in WI for Silversides' dry dock
