This Father's Day, pay a visit to the original 'founding father’.

“Emblems of America” examines how iconic American imagery continues to evolve through contemporary interpretation. A version of Gilbert Stuart’s renowned Washington portrait is presented alongside a vibrant reimagining by Walter John Rodriguez, while Lisa Ficarelli-Halpern’s “Robe of Resilience” reflects on the challenges, aspirations, and complexities of America in the twenty-first century. Together, these works invite visitors to consider how national symbols are preserved, reinterpreted, and continually reshaped over time. Now on view!

This New Jersey Arts Annual moves beyond traditional gallery walls, inviting visitors to experience large-scale works that explore how art reshapes our connection to landscape, place, and community.

In the 1800s, apprentice clockmaker Blaise Bontems crafted what he claimed was the first automata to give a singing bird a natural voice — hidden inside a musical snuffbox.

Join us for a FREE evening at the Morris Museum as we honor the holiday with a curator-led tour through our stunning indoor and outdoor galleries, live DJ sets by Johnny Butler, and an inspiring conversation in the Bickford Theatre. Moderated by acclaimed author Donna Walker-Kuhne, the discussion brings together artists Ron Powell and O’Neil Scott alongside gallerists Tanya Weddemire and Cheryl Mack for an evening of candid voices and shared vision.

The Morristown Juneteenth Arts Celebration is a two-event celebration that unites four non-profit organizations to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. This FREE event celebrates the African American community and invites the public to enjoy the work of local artists, food vendors, artisans, and community.
