This photo taken by W.E.C. Eustis around 1894 shows a "Decoration Day" parade in Milton Cemetery. Decoration Day started as a tradition after the Civil War and became an official holiday by 1890. It was later renamed Memorial Day.

Visit the Eustis Estate to learn more about the Eustis family and Milton and Boston in the Gilded Age. Open Fridays-Sundays, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Visit the exhibition on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. through November 15.
