Friends of the Little Red House Welcome to the Tilden House, a place where time and history has passed for almost 300 years. The preservation effort is well underway.

Built fifty years before the American Revolution, this homestead is undergoing major structural work.

Progress continues. Plumbing for our new bathroom is being completed, the HVAC system awaits hookup to power, and the new accessible walkway is bridging into the interior.

As the interior conservation efforts, continue, we are now in the process of installing a new handicap accessible bathroom, full accessibility to the first floor, new pine flooring, wall treatments, electrical, and lighting systems. Phase 2 also includes exhibit, designs, and program space.
